Nuen is a Norwegian design studio dedicated to 100% transparency in production and transport. Their furniture is honest. There is nothing to hide, no factory with 16 hour workdays, no poison in the water, no draining of the Aral Seas for cotton production, no slavery contracts in long transport shipping. For Nuen, this radical transparency and honesty is the only safeguard for a healthy production, where crucial dilemmas and challenges are faced head on, in collaboration with everyone who touches their products, including you, the end-user.
Nuen believes in empowering people to do what they’re best at. For this reason, Nuen’s timber comes from Anne’s wood and is brought to Njål who bends it. Nuen uses a blend of wool from an old European sheep breed that lives outdoors the whole year and wool from more traditional Norwegian sheep farming, woven by Viktor, sewn by Marie. Simply said, Nuen is about creating a company, a society, a world that is good, for people and nature.
