The Fall Collection
Here at Cacha, we cannot get enough of the the latest collection from Toulemonde Bochart, the renowned French rug brand known for its design-oriented and eco-conscious pieces. Toulemonde’s expert artisans hand weave, knot and tuft absolute masterpieces that represent Parisian style.
This year at Maison & Objet, we saw several emerging rug trends, including a move away from the recently very popular Berber-style rug. In 2023, we will see the influence of technology on rug making. These new techniques allow designers to create rugs in irregular, organic forms.
With a nod to the ’70s, we are seeing the reemergence of large, close-fitting stripes that bring together multiple shades. Also in are monochrome palettes that darken in an ombre effect from ecru to brown and dusty pink to orange-red.
Keep reading for a closer look at three of the biggest trends showcased in Toulemonde’s Fall 2022 collection and some Cacha design tips!
Natural Wool
Across the board, designers have noticed a shift away from synthetic materials. Clients are looking for natural materials that have a more artisanal, handmade feel. Natural wool rugs offer a rustic range of colors and textures that are chemical and dye free, making them a healthy and sustainable choice for your home.
3D Design
This season, intricate patterns show off a fresh color palette with a major 1970s influence. Timeless ecru, twine, gray and black are in the mix with salmon, jade and orange-y yellow. We are also seeing color blocking of bold reds and vibrant pinks with aubergine and deep blues.
Cozy Plush
When it comes to rugs, texture is everything. A plush rug grounds the space and brings added warmth. This season, designers are layering textural elements to add dimension and invite people to interact with various design elements. Cacha Tip- try layering multiple rugs of different piles for an extra luxurious look and feel.
